Top 10 Awesome Small Campers with Bathrooms

Nowadays, RVs come in all shapes and sizes. Not only are there many larger RVs the size of huge buses, but there also exists a variety of smaller motorhomes and campers that can be towed behind motorcycles. Advancement in the home building technology accounts for the explosive shift in RV’s interior designs as well. Of course, all of this growth is due to the elevating demand in the entertainment vehicle market.

To most people, this change is going to make choosing the suitable RV even more complicated than it was before. It is rather easy to mask quality with quantity when it comes to RVs. Hence, some RVs’ overall appearances are rather misleading, and they can cause a ruckus for you to patch them up after a very short period of time out of the shop.

To fix that problem, you just have to pick out the products from household names that are guaranteed to bring quality. Here we will be counting out some of the more well-received small campers with bathrooms. If your car can only tow a little bit of weight or you just happen to prefer the unique shape of teardrop trailers, then take a quick look at some of these campers.

10 Best Small Camping Trailers with Bathrooms

1. Forest River R-Pod RP-153 Ultra Lite

Specifications:

  • Length: 17’6”
  • Height: 9’8”
  • Interior height: 6’5”
  • Width: 8’
  • GVWR: 4,730 lbs
  • UVW: 3,159lbs
  • Hitch weight: 330lbs
  • Sleeps: up to 4

Review:

The RP-153 Ultra Lite is what I would take on the road every weekend to explore the wilderness. The camper has a very unique look to it, much like with other floorplans in the Rpod series. The power-coated steel frame of the chassis explains much of the RP-153’s sturdiness. It comes with an electric brake that helps the trailer self-adjust. You will find that all the outer walls are aluminum, and the roof is a seamless fiberglass roof. When you look inside, you will see a large sofa with 2 additional smaller sofas on either side of a table, a toilet, a foldable queen size mattress, and a kitchenette. You can alternate between a dinette and a sleeping space.

There are a lot of appliances that come with the RP-153. For instance, you can choose between an electric or gas 6-gallon water heater, it also comes with a 6 cu ft refrigerator.  The cooktop is a recessed cooktop so it looks low and sleek. You will also have a convection microwave to help you with “kitchen business”. Looking up, you have an air conditioner, a TV and four cupboards to store your own belongings.

The bathroom is a small but nice feature of the RP-153. It is a full bath with a sink (mirror on top) and toilet in one place. I love the fact that this camper has a dry bath despite its size. It already comes with an Aqua View Shower Miser which will save water when you are taking a shower on your boondocking trip. For example, it can change in color when hot or cold water runs through it! If you love a lightweight camper with a bathroom, then this might just be one of the top picks.

2. Airstream Basecamp 16

Specifications:

  • Length: 16’2”
  • Height (with A/C): 8’8.75”
  • Interior height (with A/C): 6’3.5”
  • Interior width: 8’
  • GVWR: 3,500 lbs
  • UVW: 2,650 lbs
  • Hitch weight: 410lbs
  • Sleeps (without additional tents): up to 2

Review:

This camper is without a doubt one of the better-looking RVs on the market. Advertised by Airstream as one of the best lightweight versatile RVs on the market. Maybe it is just me, but the Airstream Basecamp 16 being built like a tank makes it all the more attractive, also the aerodynamic shape makes for better towing capabilities.

The shell is covered by three separate aluminum skins. Stepping inside through the sliding front door, you will be instantly captivated by the handcrafted Italian interior cabinetry holding different sorts of high-tech electric kitchen appliances that are indispensable when cooking the perfect homemade meal for you and your family. Adding to the futuristic look, the Truma Combi eco plus acts as a two-in-one water heater and a heater for your cabin. The panoramic front windows give you all the outside view you would like, and they come with blackout shades.

Everything on the kitchen table can be covered with an integrated lid (yes, even the faucet). The sofa covered in fabric cushions can give seatings to up to 5 people while the tabletops can even be disassembled and of course, the dinette space is convertible into a bed whenever you feel like sleeping.

Everything about the Airstream Basecamp is as durable as it is modern. You will almost always find storage space for your own luggage on any furniture you see. The floorplan and execution of the camper is so well thought out, you won’t regret buying it. Definitely one of the best small camping trailers with bathrooms.

As for the bathroom, there is but one drawback which comes down to personal preferences: it is a wet bath. Your toilet and sink will inevitably get wet once you take the shower. Aside from that, however, this bathroom is something else. It features a retractable clothesline (how cool is that?), a removable shower head with shower pass-through to take the shower business outside. The toilet is made of porcelain.

If you happen to have come across the Happier Camper 1 before and fell in love with it at first sight, then the Traveler is the best choice for those wanting some more features. Review

The Lance 1475 is one of the great travel trailers that are made for a more exciting camping experience. With the queen size bed big enough for two, the camper is best fit for couples. One of the defining features of Lance is the interior Azdel panel wall which has a layer of insulation foam that will help you stay comfortable through the winter. There is also a sofa bed for guests who want to stay the night. The dual swivel chairs are here to make a great relaxing spot, so you can enjoy your stay.

The kitchenette also has a sleek marble top and countertop to make cooking and dining look clean and stylish. There is a three-burner range and a 5 cu ft refrigerator. The optional electric awning can be installed to provide shade over your car on sunny days. You can also buy the all-weather bonus package to make the trailer a great place to stay all year round.

The bathroom has a skylight to bring in more sunlight to illuminate the room and make it appear larger than life. The dry bath is something most people would absolutely love about a travel trailer this size. The corner showering space has curtains to keep it private, and the toilet and sink comes fully equipped with most of the basic accessories to get you going right off the bat.

Overall, this travel trailer is really neat in its organization, and we love it. When you look for a small camper with a bathroom for sale, take a look at this one for reference, as they have done almost everything right.

5. NuCamp TAB 400 Micro Camper

Specifications:

  • Length: 18’ 3”
  • Height: 8’8”
  • Interior height: 6’7”
  • Width: 7’6”
  • GVWR: 4,272 lbs
  • UVW: 2,864lbs
  • Hitch weight: 372lbs
  • Sleeps: up to 3

Review:

This teardrop trailer is one of those that actually looks like a teardrop and is widely known as the signature look of TAB’s trailers. The outside of the teardrop trailer is just state-of-the-art. On the front, everything is diamond plated so as to minimize the damage when getting hit by rocks.

On the inside, the main sleeping area consists of a queen size bed, a sitting area and a table which can be converted into a second sleeping area whenever you want. Also, there is a 24” TV, a kitchen with two-burner and glass-top sink.

One of the best features on this camper is actually the windows’ covers. You can either use the screen for shade without sacrificing visibility or cover it up when needed. The convenience center is placed in one spot high above the ground, so your kids won’t be able to tinker with them. With this, you can see where the water level or battery level is at and also control the water pump, light switches, etc.

The travel trailer is filled to the brim with all the amenities of home, and the bathroom is well thought out as well. The wet bath is very spacious, the sink and toilet are both very large with ample shelves to hold all your skincare and shower bottles. The stainless-steel showerhead is placed right on top of the sink.

6. Aliner LXE

Specifications:

  • Length: 15’
  • Height: 4’9”
  • Width: 6’6”
  • GVWR: 3,000 lbs
  • UVW: 1,795lbs
  • Hitch weight: 180lbs
  • Sleeps: up to 2

Review:

This small travel trailer is as cozy as it gets without sacrificing the basic comforts of home. It has anything you may need. From the outside the camper has a fiberglass shell and a whole lot of windows so that you can see what is going on inside. The weird shape isn’t going to be a problem as it is tall enough where it needs to be for you to do everyday chores. Also the rear slope will help to keep your roof dry from the rain.

Inside, there are a few things worth noting. The wet bath, the kitchen with two-burner, microwave, air conditioner, refrigerator, the sink, the LED lights that cover the whole room. The skylight on top of the bed gives the most astounding sights of the night sky for the most relaxing experience. This fifth wheel also has a lot of cargo space for you to load your stuff in. The price of this travel trailer is also a very good deal in my opinion.

The bathroom is in a corner of the trailer, with a tabletop integrated on its toilet, which is also used for cover (of course you need this one). For a travel trailer this size, it is fitting to have a wet bath in such limited space we have.

7. Winnebago Micro Minnie 1700BH

Specifications:

  • Length: 20’ 9”
  • Height: 10’4”
  • Interior height: 6’4”
  • Width: 7’
  • GVWR: 4,200 lbs
  • UVW: 3,354lbs
  • Hitch weight: 414lbs
  • Sleeps: up to 5

Review:

The next lightweight travel trailer on this list is the Winnebago Micro Minnie 1700BH. The Winnebago company usually produces the more luxurious RVs on the market, and this is no exception. Even when it is very affordable, everything is made from high quality materials. The galley kitchen is ample with a sink, double door refrigerator, microwave, and a cooktop to make cooking accessible to the owners even when off the grid.

Not only that, the 1700BH has a spacious mattress and windows designed for cross ventilation, so look forward to absolutely refreshing nights on the Micro Minnie. Best yet, the size of this travel trailer means that as many as 4 people can stay the night with you. The awning that comes with the Micro Minnie also features LED lights, and with the patio speakers can help create the best sleepover party for you and your friends.

This is one of the bigger travel trailers on this list, so it is only logical that the bathroom should be a little bit bigger than usual. The toilet is separated from the shower corner, which is decent sized for you to move around much more easily than on other dry bath campers on this list. On the top there is the skylight and also the vent to keep the room fresh and bright.

8. Jayco Hummingbird 16MRB

Specifications:

  • Length: 19’ 10”
  • Height: 9’1”
  • Interior height: 6’6”
  • Width: 8’1”
  • GVWR: 3,750 lbs
  • UVW: 2,794lbs
  • Hitch weight: 315lbs
  • Sleeps: up to 2

Review:

The Jayco Hummingbird is a cost-effective trailer that is great for anyone just starting out on their first RV journeys. Like with every standard Hummingbird made by Jayco, the 16MRB features diamond guard plating up front, fiberglass aluminum shell, and outside storage space. Inside, the first thing that catches your attention is the Murphy bed setup, the kitchenette, which has a Suburban two-burner stove with glass cover, so you can use it as a countertop when not needed. For the 16MRB, you will have a High Pointe convection oven and it is very nice.

The storage cabinet is very spacious, and the top wooden plank can be removed to hang clothes. The convenience center is placed on the side of the kitchen. Other than that, the camper comes with a furnace and an AC on top. A 23-inch Furrion TV is sure to bring entertainment when you have nothing else to do.

The 16MRB’s bathroom is a dry bath, so you don’t have to worry about the toilet getting wet after the shower. The shower head is stainless steel. Above the head there is a roof fan to keep the room ventilated.

9. Livin’ Lite Camplite 16BHB

Specifications:

  • Length: 20’
  • Height: 10’
  • Interior height: 6’4”
  • Width: 7’
  • GVWR: 4,400 lbs
  • UVW: 2,870lbs
  • Hitch weight: 370lbs
  • Sleeps: up to 4

Review:

Next on our list of small travel trailers with bathrooms is the Camplite 16BHB. First thing you will notice is the really captivating design of the trailer, which is traditional but gives an impression of a luxurious camper. Nothing much is to be said about the exterior of the RV other than the solar plugin which is great for off-the-grid living (assuming you put it to use), and then there are the standard features: awning with outdoor marine speakers, cable hookups, storage, aluminum shell, diamond plate around the bottom of the shell, etc.

Inside, there is the dinette which is of course convertible into a queen size bed. There is an additional bunk bed next to a 6cufeet refrigerator and a small closet. The galley kitchen includes a small sink and two-burner for modest cooking. Overall, for a bunk house this size, it has all the typical amenities you might find at home.

The Camplite 16MRB has a dry bath, with a skylight up top. Everything inside the bathroom is ceramic. One downside to this floorplan is that the bathroom door opens right next to the burner stove (if you consider that a disadvantage).

10. Scamp 13′ Deluxe Layout B

Specifications:

  • Length: 13’
  • Height: 7’6”
  • Interior height: 6’3”
  • Width: 6’8”
  • GVWR: 2320-2360 lbs
  • UVW: 1300-1600lbs
  • Hitch weight: 120-160lbs
  • Sleeps: up to 3

Review:

The Scamp 13’ Deluxe trailer is going to be the smallest camper with a bathroom on this list. This mini camper with a bathroom is, like its name suggests, only 13 feet long. Outside you can easily notice the gold stripe that greatly stands out, the taillights, shore power cord, water heater, vents are all standard features that come with the Scamp 13 Deluxe. Taking a look inside, you will see a lot of cabinets on the top, lots of drawers on the countertop as well, so you don’t have to worry about running out of places to hide your stuff.

The striking characteristic of this Deluxe is that there is wood everywhere, so if you’re crazy about the environment, you might want to look this up. Layout B is the only layout of the 13’ Deluxe that has a bathroom. Instead of a bunk bed or front dinette, you will be having a front toilet/bathroom and a closet right next to it. Other than the toilet, there is a small sink and stove top with a furnace underneath where you can cook a few things on, and two bunks to sleep on and a tabletop.

The front bathroom is a wet bath that is nicely sized. Inside there is a small toilet and a sink. It is not going to be very easy to maneuver inside this bathroom, but you can always take the shower business outside, right? I would say the closet next to it is quite out of place and could have given the bathroom more space but that might be enough for most people.

Conclusion

This list of small campers with bathrooms is a long one indeed, I hope you already have in your mind what kind of camper you are looking for after reading this. Go to the shop, take a good look at what you’re buying, and make the decision yourself. The quality of your RV life is almost always about the compatibility between you and your RV, so choose wisely.
